Swansea University is a research-led institution that thrives on exploration and discovery and offers a compelling balance of excellent teaching and research.
The University Council, the governing body, is seeking to appoint two new lay members. Members are appointed to serve for a period of four years with provision for re-appointment for a further term and an induction programme is provided along with on-going training. Membership of Council is not remunerated, but reasonable travel expenses within the UK will be paid. Council members will serve on other Council Committees, as well as taking part in other aspects of University life.
Expressions of interest are welcome from potential candidates with significant leadership experience at a senior level and a sound understanding of corporate governance. The University is particularly looking for Governors with experience in estates management, commercial, digital, cyber and AI.
